At a time of rising far-right extremism, economic uncertainty, and relentless attacks on workers’ rights, Team Unite has delivered real wins for workers in Canada. Over the past three years, we’ve met the moment—and we’re proud of what we’ve achieved together.
Since 2023, we’ve been a strong national voice for worker solidarity. Canada’s labour movement is diverse by design, and our job is to unite it behind shared goals. When workers needed leadership—whether fighting for universal pharmacare, permanent status for migrant and foreign workers, or defending Charter rights—we showed up and led.
Through focused political action and relentless advocacy, Team Unite helped secure major victories for working families. We played a key role in shaping and advancing the national affordable child care framework with federal, provincial, and territorial governments. We helped win legislation guaranteeing 10 days of federal paid sick leave.
We were instrumental in the Liberal–NDP confidence and supply agreement, unlocking long-fought priorities like child care, pharmacare, dental care, reconciliation with Indigenous peoples, affordable housing, and the foundation of federal anti-scab legislation. Since the last convention, we stayed in the fight—and delivered historic federal anti-scab legislation.
Inside the CLC, we strengthened our organization so it could better serve affiliates and workers. We rebuilt capacity in regions and departments, invested in worker training and grassroots engagement, and expanded our digital tools—mobilizing hundreds of thousands of workers through online actions and education.
Team Unite has provided steady, collaborative leadership in challenging times—and we’re ready to keep delivering for workers across Canada.
