Further strengthening our labour laws

While Team Moving Forward is proud of the hard-won gains included in Bill 148, we intend to push for additional labour law reforms going forward, including stronger health and safety guidelines in the Employment Standards Act, and card-check certification for every sector of the economy.

Advancing workers’ interests in the 2018 Election

If re-elected, Team Moving Forward will advance workers’ interests in the upcoming Ontario provincial election by pushing the major political parties to firmly commit to improving working conditions and employment standards for all workers in Ontario.

Support for Striking and Locked Out Workers

Team Moving Forward believes it is vital for the OFL to provide support to workers involved in a labour dispute, and to ensure that members do not endure hardship as a result of their courage to take a stand. We also believe the OFL should play a central role in helping to co-ordinate community-based support for locked out or striking workers.

Strong Voice for Equity and Inclusivity

Working with the renewed and empowered OFL Human Rights & Equity Committee, as well as our affiliates and labour councils, Team Moving has worked diligently to ensure that the OFL is a strong voice and advocate for workers of colour, aboriginal workers, women, young workers, workers with disabilities, and LGBTQ workers across the province of Ontario.
